  • For children entering Kindergarten and 1st grades only, this immersive art week will be led by Hillary Parker, Master Naturalist and art educator for an engaging art camp that explores the art of nature! Campers have fun exploring the environment around them as they learn to create beautiful works of art from the things found in nature. These young artists will have a wonderful opportunity to create a permanent addition to The Skola grounds by creating an outdoor Fairy Forest! This will be their creative outdoor space to dream and build ephemeral works of art made with natural materials, that through the passage of time, are reclaimed by nature. Inspired by Danish artist Thomas Dambo and his Woodland Trolls and the magical fairy houses hidden in Cathedral Woods on Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine, these campers will be creating colorful nature mandalas, whimsical woodland creatures, and fairy houses, from natural materials found in their new Fairy Forest

  • For Ages 6 - 9, campers will explore the amazing breath of wildlife that is part of our ecosystem in Northwest Montana. We will learn about habitats, tracking, what makes animals unique, and more, alongside all the fun of Skola summer camp, with hands-on learning, nature, games, community building, activities, and opportunities to be creative.

  • In a small group setting for only 8 campers, this "Reader's Theater" camp is led by our beloved Skola Owls (Kinder) teacher, Ms. Adrianna. Let's bring play into reading! Reader's Theater campers will engage in creating a fun and collaborative production and performance while practicing fluency and oral reading. Campers will practice character voices, stage presence and use basic props to bring stories to life.

  • For children ages 7 through 10, during this week of hands on learning, campers will explore force and motion to imagine and create with their hands. Campers will learn skills to safely use tools and design and build things together! Exploring and creating on the beautiful Skola campus, campers will enjoy community building and fun with their peers.

  • For children ages 6 - 9, campers will discover the amazing world of plants that surrounds us. Campers will explore our ecosystem through scientific investigations, plant studies, art with plants and more. As with each summer camp, campers will engage in hands on learning, community building, activities, and opportunities to be creative.

  • For children ages 6 - 9, this immersive art week will be led by Hillary Parker, Master Naturalist and art educator for an engaging art camp. As inquisitive Jr. Naturalists, these young artists will be inspired by beautiful flowers and the fascinating lives of insects that pollinate them, as they have fun focusing on learning how to observe and draw, while using colored pencils and watercolors to illustrate their discoveries in nature. A colorful portfolio of what they have discovered will be theirs to present on the last day of camp to family and friends, as they proudly share their beautiful works of art and what they learned.

  • For children ages 7 - 10, this immersive art week will be led by Hillary Parker, Master Naturalist and art educator. This exciting art camp is for kids who love art, nature and food and who are interested in developing art skills, along with a few cooking skills! Students will be working with locally grown edible plants, fruits and veggies, preparing recipes to nibble on each day, as they focus on developing helpful drawing skills and successful techniques for using colored pencil to illustrate their own delicious Edible Art Cookbook. Samples of their recipes and their beautiful cookbooks will be shared at the end of the camp in a presentation and reception for family and friends.

  • For children ages, 6 - 9. Water is one of our most precious resources, and one of the most fun to enjoy! Campers will enjoy water games and activities while learning about the water cycle and how we can protect this resource.
